Marsala – Pantone's Hit Colour of 2015
Pantone, the global color authority, has named Marsala as it’s chosen color of 2015. This pick will set the trends for many industries especially paint companies aimed at latest home décor for 2015.
Pantone describes the color as “a naturally robust and earthy wine red with that organic and sophisticated air.” This vintage hearty tone is generally likable and transitions easily to beauty, industrial design, home décor and interiors.
Marsala, a rich, deep color that indicates stability. It’s also going to be a hit in the fashion industry this year because it is a color that flatters when place against many skin tones and this appeals to both men and women.
Pantone mentioned that he said it believes the color will transfer into clothing collections, makeup, accessories and home furnishings as several fashion designers are already integrating Marsala into their spring 2015 designs.
Pantone’s color for year 2014 was radiant orchid and for 2013, their color was emerald.
